What is Utasking?

Utasking is a local services marketplace that helps people discover and connect with independent professionals offering local, in-person, and in-home services. Clients can browse professional profiles and service listings, view portfolios and starting prices, and message professionals directly.

Clients can browse services, compare professionals, post service requests, and contact professionals directly. Professionals can create profiles and service listings, showcase their work, and reply when a client sends the first message. Clients and professionals arrange service details and payments directly.

Utasking is free for clients. Professionals need a Pro Membership to publish and manage their professional presence after any applicable free trial. Visit the Pricing page for current membership details.

Select Register, choose the appropriate account type, and complete the required information. Clients can then browse and contact professionals, while professionals must complete their professional profile and membership setup before publishing services.

For Clients

Questions about finding, comparing, and contacting local professionals.

How do I contact a professional?

Open the professional’s profile or service listing and use the message option to start a private conversation. You can ask about availability, location, final pricing, payment methods, and your specific needs before making a decision.

No. Utasking does not process or hold service payments. Instead, clients and professionals arrange the final price, payment method, scheduling, deposits, and other service details directly.

Before choosing a professional, review their profile, service listings, portfolio, starting prices, reviews, service area, FAQs, and other available information. Also ask questions directly and confirm important details before agreeing to a service.

How do I become a professional?

Create a professional account, complete your profile, choose the appropriate membership, and publish the services you offer. Once your professional presence is active, clients can discover your profile and contact you directly.

Professionals can add relevant experience, skills, location, service area, business information, portfolio examples, and other details that help clients understand who they are and what they offer.

Clients must send the first message. After a client contacts you through your profile or service listing, you can reply privately, discuss their needs, and decide whether the opportunity is a good fit.

How does Utasking support safety?

Utasking provides professional profiles, service information, portfolios, reviews, private messaging, reporting options, and account requirements to help clients make more informed decisions. However, clients and professionals remain responsible for evaluating each other and confirming service arrangements.

Professional accounts must complete Utasking’s required profile and account information before approval. Utasking clearly states any verification it completes. However, users should not treat this as a background check unless Utasking specifically says one was completed.
